I place a link of a video in my email. Thumbnail shows up just fine. When someone clicks it, it seems to go to a 404 page.

For this, please check the Privacy tab from your Dubb video edit page. See if it is Shareable or probably Draft.
This can also show up when the URL was changed to the new one and the old one was used.
